The magnitude of the mass shootings sunk in over the past few days.

Many more hearts broken and minds fearful about what this means for Christchurch.

However, in response to the tragic event, the community has come together, creating a strong sense of love, support, and solidarity. Heartwarming events like the University of Canterbury's "Band Together" show the kind and persevering nature of this city. I am so grateful for the chance to live here, even if it is only for a few months.
